what Barre is
Barre classes incorporate dance sequences and static stretches at a ballet barre (don’t worry, you don’t need dance experience). The isometric movements - holding the body still whilst contracting specific muscles - are excellent for toning.
Other benefits include improved posture, flexibility, strength, balance and endurance. Classes often integrate elements of yoga, pilates and strength training: using resistance bands and light hand weights to make the classes more challenging and mats for targeted core work.
Perfect for those who are new to barre, or those returning to it after a bit of a break!
